"Creating objects from molten glass is a seductive experience. Here, the material has the ability to dictate the result. I am working to challenge the material, the audience and myself by exploring the boundaries of form and function."

“Molten glass responds to every bodily movement of the artist and maker. My work is directly related to the physical and mental challenges of creating objects from a living material. I look to tame the material, illustrated by creating hard-edged forms, while allowing its intrinsic qualities to accent these forms - a gesture of movement through color at the edge. The objects I am currently exploring challenge the notion of function while still leaving the question open to interpretation."
